For clients navigating significant financial transitions — a business sale, inherited assets, an international move — tax decisions don’t exist in isolation. The Concierge Tax Advisory relationship is designed for exactly this complexity: ongoing, proactive tax counsel informed by your complete financial picture. Don’s PFS credential means this counsel reflects the integrated planning standards of the AICPA, not just a tax return.

What’s Included in the Concierge CPA Engagement

A concierge engagement is an annual relationship for year-round decision support. It covers:

Tax return preparation

Tax return preparation

Federal and state returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates, prepared with the same technical depth as any standalone engagement.

Year-round tax planning

Year-round tax planning

Mid-year and year-end projections, multi-year planning, and scenario modeling for major decisions.

Year-round availability

Year-round availability

Phone and email access for questions about Roth conversions, charitable gifts, equity compensation, real estate, business decisions, estate planning, and anything else where tax and planning intersect.

Quarterly check-ins

Quarterly check-ins

Scheduled working sessions each quarter to review your year-to-date position, discuss upcoming items, and adjust planning as circumstances change.

Advisor coordination

Advisor coordination

Direct communication with your attorney, financial advisor, business broker, or other professionals so your tax and planning work is integrated, not fragmented.

Secure document portal

Secure document portal

A client portal for storing returns, planning memos, engagement documents, and other reference materials.

A Note on Scope

DJ Tax Solutions, LLC does not manage investments, recommend specific securities, or hold client assets. For investment management, we coordinate directly with your existing advisors.

A concierge engagement does not replace legal counsel. Estate planning documents and business formation documents should be prepared by a licensed attorney. Coordination with your attorney is included in the engagement.

Who Can Use a Concierge CPA

Concierge advisory is for clients whose situations have enough complexity – and enough decisions over the course of a year – that an ongoing relationship makes more sense than one-time engagements.

High-net-worth individuals and families with significant investment assets, business interests, real estate, or estate planning considerations
Closely held business owners navigating growth, acquisition, succession, or exit
Families with multi-generational planning needs involving trusts, estates, gifting, or charitable strategies
Pre-retirees and retirees managing Roth conversions, Social Security timing, drawdown sequencing, and estate planning
Clients with international tax situations involving foreign business interests, foreign investments, or expat considerations

If you’re a W-2 employee with a single source of income and straightforward investments, standalone tax preparation may be enough. But if your situation involves multiple income sources, significant assets, business or family complexity, or anticipated major transitions, the concierge model is built for you.

How Fees Work

The concierge annual fixed fee, paid in installments throughout the year, covers everything described above for the engagement year.

Fees are based on:

The complexity of tax returns to be prepared
The number of entities involved (personal, business, trust, estate)
The expected level of planning and advisory work
Any specific projects or transitions anticipated during the year

Most concierge clients find the all-in fee comparable to what they were previously paying for return preparation plus ad hoc planning consultations – with substantially more proactive value.
